DVS Participation Agreement, Business Users
Please note: Due to the high volume of agreements needing review and endorsement, the IVS Manager requests all businesses return their signed agreements as soon as possible or before 30 April 2025.
However, to avoid delays and ensure your continued access to DVS, GBG recommends you sign and return your agreement before the end of February 2025.
Overview
The Identity Verification Services Act (IVS Act) of 2023 legislated the existing DVS, introducing a statutory framework for identity verification services in Australia. The Act's purpose is to enhance the security and privacy of the identity verification process.
As part of the Act, a new Document Verification Service (DVS) Participation Agreement (PA) for Business Users (BU) is set to take effect on 14 June 2025.
The DVS Participation Agreement replaces existing DVS Business User Agreements, bringing them in line with the Act.
What does this mean?
To continue accessing DVS through GBG for identity verifications, all registered business users must sign, return and have their new Participation Agreement approved by DVS before the 13 June 2025.
Failure to provide the new agreement in reasonable time for DVS to process and approve will result in your DVS access being removed on 14 June 2025. This will impact on your identity verification service.
What do you need to do?
Look for an email from Noggin (Attorney-General Dept platform) with instructions on how to sign and submit the Participation Agreement. Please check this email is not in your spam folder.
Complete the Participation Agreement ensuring you use the correct business entity, that is the ABN previously registered with DVS.
Sign, witness and upload your Participation Agreement on the Noggin Platform.
Please do not send your Participation Agreement to GBG. You must use the link provided to you by the Noggin Platform.
If you have not received the Participation Agreement please email the IVS Manager at IVS.Agreements@ag.gov.au as soon as possible.
