DVS Consent Texts

As part of the recent changes to the Document Verification Service (DVS) Participation Agreement, GBG and our customers have been required to review end-user consent text and update if required.

In most cases, our customers are responsible for the capture and wording of their consent text. However, for some services, GBG greenID captures consent on our customers' behalf. These services are:

greenID Admin Panel
greenID Web & Hosted Web

GBG will be updating the consent texts associated with the above services in Production, effective 24^th June 2025.

The new consent text will be available in the Test environment from 10^th June 2025.

Important note for Web customers: If you have customised the consent text within your solution, this change will not apply to you.

What’s Changing?
The new consent text reflects updates to align with changes required by the Document Verification Service (DVS) in Australia.

Admin Panel: “I confirm I am authorised to provide these details and the individual has agreed that they may be checked with the Issuer or Official Record Holder. in accordance with the Identity Matching Services Privacy Policy.”

Web & Hosted Web: “I confirm I am authorised to provide these details and agree that they may be checked with the Issuer or Official Record Holder, in accordance with the Identity Matching Services Privacy Policy.”

What do customers need to do?

For greenID Admin Panel, Web and Hosted Web, there is no action required by our customers. The next time an identity verification is undertaken, the new consent text will be presented to the end user.
