The Comply Advantage Data team are actively preparing for the PEP-related changes under the Australian AML/CTF reforms, effective March 31, 2026

Current Comply Advantage data is aligned with existing PEP definitions and obligations already in place, so data updates will address two main points:

  1. Narrowed Domestic PEP Scope: Data is being updated to reflect the new, narrower definition for local government officials, focusing only on Heads of Local Government Councils. This change is expected to reduce false positives in screening.

  2. Formal Former PEP Management: The new rules require Reporting Entities to manage risks associated with individuals who are Former PEPs. The existing process of flagging removed PEPs already provides the necessary data input, allowing your team to apply your internal risk appetite and implement the required ongoing due diligence.

Comply Advantage are confident the updated data will seamlessly support your compliance with AUSTRAC’s new risk-based framework.

Comply Advantage are rolling out important updates to ComplyAdvantage Mesh case management on 06 Nov 2025. These changes are designed to boost transparency, save time, and streamline your workflow.

 Key updates:

  • Alert visibility: To provide a complete view of risk, users will now see all alerts (collections of risks/profiles) within their cases, regardless of how alert grouping is configured.

  • Configurable alert grouping: We're introducing a new self-serve option in the settings page to easily enable or disable alert grouping within your case workflows.

  • Case list enhancements: Work faster with a redesigned case list:

    • Persistent filters will save your time by remaining applied even after you log out.

    • Direct case navigation lets you move from one case to the next without returning to the main list.

    • Customise your view by choosing and re-ordering columns.

    • Users with access to multiple case types will now see dedicated, tabbed views for customer screening and transaction monitoring cases.
