Australian Claims Data

The Insurance Reference Services (IRS), our current supplier of Australian Claims Data (ACD), has entered voluntary liquidation. As a result, the ACD data source will no longer be available for identity verification services.

Access to the Australian Claims Database will cease on 24 March 2025 at 10.00am (AEDT)

How will this impact greenID customers?

Removal of ADC will have no technical impact on your greenID service.  However, for customers who use ACD you may experience a slight change in identity match rates.

To minimize any impact on your match rates, GBG offers a range of alternative data sources including:

  • Event Member Data: A free background data source referencing 16 million Australians.

  • Super and Payroll: Provides access to 54% of the Australian working population, particularly beneficial for individuals new to the country and those with thin credit files.

  • Experian Credit Header (available for AML entities only): Access to 94% of the Australian credit population, combining this source with illion credit header provides the most comprehensive credit coverage available in Australia.

What happens next?

GBG will:

  • remove the ACD data from the greenID TEST environment from 27 February 2025

  • remove the ACD data without technical impact to you on the 24 March 2025 at 10.00am (AEDT).

NOTE: ACD will be removed from 10.00am to ensure GBG can provide the appropriate customer support.

What can you do

If your organization has any special processes set up using ACD, we strongly recommend testing the removal of this data source using our TEST environment.
