Generally, parties that require verification are those that have a significant relationship with the business — e.g., they hold a controlling or beneficial interest or they impact its management and operations. Associated parties that do not have a significant relationship do not need to be verified. What constitutes “significant” is determined by your organisation — its legal obligations, policies, protocols (e.g., “Know Your Customer (KYC)”) or other requirements.
