The business verification process begins with your gathering information about the business to be verified. This information includes the name of the business, the country in which it is established, and the type of entity it is, such as a corporation, a sole
proprietorship, a partnership, a trust, etc. Also, the business number*, if it has one, is important, since greenID can use this number to look up the business in a registry and download other information for you, such as its directors and shareholders. Otherwise you will have to obtain this information and enter it manually. (More about this is discussed in Step 4.2 below.)
